The Brief
Nexus worked with Bridges Programmes, a Glasgow-based charity supporting refugees and migrants into employment, to design and develop a new WordPress website that better reflects their impact and improves access to their services. The project focused on creating a clear, welcoming, and accessible digital presence that communicates the organisation’s mission while making it easier for users to find support, information, and opportunities.
The Build
We designed and built a fully responsive WordPress website with a strong emphasis on usability and accessibility, ensuring the platform works effectively for a diverse audience, including users with varying levels of digital confidence. The site structure was carefully planned to present key information such as employability programmes, employer partnerships, and support services in a logical and easy-to-navigate format across all devices.

The Result
Alongside the design and development, we implemented a flexible content management system that allows the Bridges Programmes team to confidently manage and update content in-house. This includes publishing news, updating programme information, and sharing success stories. The final website provides a robust and future-ready platform that supports their ongoing work in helping refugees and migrants build meaningful careers in Glasgow.
