About The Project

Founded on 8 generations (200 years) of farming, John Scott Meat are one of the leading meat wholesalers and abattoirs in Scotland & the United Kingdom.

The team at John Scott Meat approached us with the requirement for an all-new website. At the time, their current website was quite outdated and was unresponsive to mobile and tablet devices. With the need to modernise, the client met with our website designers in our office in Glasgow to discuss the development of a bespoke HTML website which would be on-brand, responsive to all devices and easy to update on an ongoing basis.

Our Design Process

Using content and images from the existing website, our website designers created an initial homepage preview so the client could provide feedback on the new look and feel we had in mind. After a few minor tweaks, the new design was approved and we proceeded with building the variety of product information pages.

With the then-current website lacking in content, we made the recommendation that the client writes more detailed information about their company, products and services while we proceeded with building the remainder of the new website. Over the proceeding weeks, we kept in constant contact with the client to build, populate and preview each new page.

Project Completion & Launch

After carefully constructing each page to the client’s specification, we added in high quality, professional images and completed the design with their new logo – which symbolises a meat hook.

Once the final design was approved our technical team made the necessary DNS changes to switch the client’s A records to our server IP, secured the domain with an SSL certificate and launched the new website.
