Brief
About The Project
Bulldog are an established UK brand from the world's leading manufacturer of collated nail and gas cells. Their online store offers customers across the UK low cost, high quality products that are manufactured to strict Eurocode and UKCA specifications to ensure customers have the guaranteed of quality assurance.
The client’s eCommerce software had gradually become less reliable over 2022, so we approached them with the prospect of switching over to Shopify. With better features, lower processing rates and all-round better reliability, Bulldog were happy to proceed.

the build
Our Design Process
The project began with us exporting the store’s product database into Excel to modify & improve the products' data to a suitable format for Shopify.
While our technical team worked on the product import, our Shopify designers worked on the website design, carrying across Bulldog’s recognisable brand colours and of course, the bulldog mascot! We customised the Shopify theme with a range of simple features to improve the website navigation and the general user experience; adding in new banners, calls to action and a quick product finder that’s ideal for mobile users.

Results
Project Completion & Launch
In the lead up to the website launch we added 301 redirects and rearranged some of the product collection to ensure customers (new and old) were able to get to the right product within 1-2 clicks.
With the client’s approval, we launched the new website and sent out a branded 'new store' announcement email to previous Bulldog customers to introduce them to the new website. We continue to work with Bulldog on their successful digital marketing campaigns.
